Using Security Deposits

What is the name of your state?This is for Michigan
We fired the Property management company we were using and I need to find out the following.

Is Property Management company allowed to use a new tenants Security Deposit;

1. For property improvements needed because of a previous tenant?
2. For reimbursement as money they claim is owed by me?

**A: what are you asking? very confusing. The mgt. co. has a right to use the deposit following the L/T law.
