What is the name of your state? IN

I have a friend who rents an appartment since October last year. When he moved in he and his landlady made a verbal agreement that she would reduce the rent with 100 Dollars if he helped her with her house and did some landscaping. During Fall and Winter he renovated one of her rooms and in early Spring he started doing work outside and started landscaping. During this period of time her demands of works that he was supposed to do increased daily. While doing the garden work in Spring he broke his finger and since he did not have an insurance he couldn't go to the doctor with his finger. He still went on doing the landscaping for her. Due to a whipplash a few months ago his back became worse of all the heavy work he had to do, and her demands increased steadily, he decided to pay her the 100 Dollars extra instead and did so last month. About 5 months ago she started harassing him by sending mails, leaving messages on his answering machine, and leaving notes for him at his door. She went into his appartment several times without asking him for permisson. He works night shifts and when he needs to sleep during day time, the noise level in the rises enormoulsy, so he won't be able to sleep properly. Those nights when he is not working, the noise level rises, too. She makes as much noise as possible to keep him awake.
Since he decided to pay her the 100 Dollars extra, things have grown even worse. The other day he came home and found a letter from her at the door of his appartment in which she told him that his presence makes her sick. Further she told him that he didn't fulfill his part of their agreement, since he now paid her the money instead and she wanted 100 Dollars/month dated back to October, minus the 100 Dollars he had given her this month. That would be 600 Dollars for him, according to her. Then she told him that it would be better for her if he moved out. She did not mention any date.
