Wife's family's trust owns house. Stop my eviction? How?

It's their house they can evict you under NY landlord tenant Law .

They can give you 30 day notice before the 1st of a month . You then have 30 days to move OR be evicted .

If the rent is not paid up , they can have you evicted in a few days .
