Anything I can do about this?

What is the name of your state? Nevada

Ok, here's the deal:

My wife filed false charges against me to get a protective order. I hired an attorney. I took the attorney enough information to refute the charges. He said he'd work on it. I called on a weekly basis for the 1st couple of months to see what the hold up was. He always told me he was working on it. My calls picked up to every other day, with the same answer: I'm working on it.

By the 4th month, my wife's attorney sent a letter to my attorney proposing visitation with the kids. She was also demanding money for back insurance paymnets, since my insurance was under her policy. This was the second letter regarding insurance, and I had told him 3 1/2 months prior that I now had my own, and to respond to her attorney that I didn't need it anymore, and he said he would take care of it.

After getting this 2nd letter, I asked to see my file. To my horror, he had done absolutely nothing.

This has costed me 4 months without my children, plus money to pay for insurance that was no longer needed, plus any chance of going to court and refuting her allegations.

What can be done about this? I can't afford another attorney. I feel like I'm stuck with this guy.
