Attorney manipulation

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California
My father died about four months ago, I didn’t know him and his mother is still alive. I do not want his property and I want to stay out of it so she can have it. He had a wife but has not seen her in 30+ years they just never officially divorced. Grandmother got a lawyer to see if she could legally obtain his property.

The lawyer calls me stating that he wants me to take the case of his estate. I told him no I do not know him and do not want his property. They lawyer will not stop contacting me and sent my grandma paperwork for me to sign. He stated in a message that this releases me of my rights to the property for grandma but when I looked at them they state my grandmother and I are his client and also lists his fees which is a lie because I have only talked to him once telling him NO and have never returned his other 15 messages asking to call him back.

How do I make him stop contact me because telling him no and I will not sign these forms does not work and is ruining my relationship with my grandmother because he is telling her I am holding the case up.

Thank you for your help in advanced. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
