Ohio. Is it legal/ethical for an attorney representing an elderly family member in a guardianship action to have that family member sign a mortgage establshing same attorney as the mortgage holder. In other words can the attorney both represent the person while becoming a mortgage holder in the middle of the guardianship action?

What did your attorney say about this? This is something that is not typical; however, is there a court order allowing this? If you enable the private messaging and send me one when you do so, I will provide you with information regarding contracts and alleged incompetents and information regarding guardians and contracts for wards. This info is not appropriate to post due to its sensitivity of estates of incompetent persons.
