What is the name of your state? KY

In a situtation where a person files a bar complaint against an attorney, and the lawyer responds, is the statement made by the attorney protected? Example: the lawyer lies like a crazy person, and slanders the filing party, there is proof that lawyer is lying.....can the slander be part of a larger malpractice?
THanks

If you have proof that the attorney lied to the bar association then turn over that proof to the committee.

As for slander, normal statements made in legal proceedings are protected. You would have a hard time getting this before a judge.
