Breach of ethics???

What is the name of your state? New Jersey....

Was working with a lawyer for several months. Recently fired him, due to what i call a serious breach of ethics. not sure what can be done. Hired a Lawyer in NJ in february.
paid the Lawyer good money. When my case was going nowhere, I got suspucious. Found out the Lawyer was dissemenating information to the opposing party (the defendant side). which of coarse was helping defendant. Naturally, when confronted, the Lawyer lied, told me I was insane and would never be believed. The opposing parties' lawyer was telling my Lawyer the client was a loser, never paid his bill and was a wacko. In turn my Lawyer repeated this to me, then of coarse denied it. Is this a breach of ethics for both lawyers.?? Is it worth pursuing? I do have proof, but not much in the way of resources to hire another Lawyer to represent me at a lawyer ethics hearing. Please help.

ADDITIONAL INFO:

I will be specific as possible. Hired a lawyer to litigate a Libel case. from day one I had my suspisions about weather or not my best interest was at hand or they just needed and wanted the money. i am to blame to an extent because I should have fired the Lawyer long before I finally did. the defendant was served, never replied. Attorney filed for a default Judgment. A proof hearing is required for Libel cases. the Lawyer never spent any on the money I gave him on trying to prove my case. All that was done was paperwork and phone calls. when i asked him specific questions about the case, he would become irate. what kind of lawyer does that. The Lawyer told me, to his knowledge the defendant never went to an attorney for no attorney contacted my lawyer to discuss my case. I found out defendant did in fact go to a lawyer. It was my lawyers best friend. My belief is whatever the defendant told this lawyer prejudiced my own attorney against me. However, instead of withdrawing from my case. My lawyer continued to take money from me and lie right and left. He deliberatly witheld critical info from me that could have helped my case. I believe the nature of the relationship between my lawyer and the defendnats lawyer is why he tried to sabatoge my case. he clearly took my money and did not earn it. Is this enough info.
