What is the name of your state?Massachusetts

hi,
my question: my husband currently owes $15000 to a university in tuition payment. the case is now with a lawyer who has put the claims in to court. my two questions are: (1) as a wife, is it possible for my car or any asset in my name to be ordered/taken away from me to pay for my husband's debt? the car is in my name only. will our marriage mean our properties can be used to pay for each other's debt? (2) we agreed with the lawyer to pay $200 monthly until the judgement amount is satisfied, but the lawyer does not specifically state this in the "agreement for judgement." After asking him to include it, he refuses with no reason as to why not. should we trust him? thank you for your help.

The lawyer works for the creditor, not for you.

Do NOT sign anything regarding this debt.

Have hubby do all the signing.
