Concerned Citizen

What is the name of your state (Nebraska)?
I am a bit concerned about our local County Attorney's Office. The Chief Deputy County Attorney has been having several affairs with some of the local law enforcement officers. This is very concerning for the citizens in our county that some of these court cases they worked together (her and the cops) could get overturned. Apparently the County Attorney knows and the entire office has been told to sweep this under the rug. Is there anything that can be done to stop this? She has been told on several occassions to stop and refuses to do so. Isn't she violating her ethics here, maybe not with the affairs, but the court cases?

Take all of your evidence - videotape, camera-phone snapshots, podcasts and the like - and pile it all up outside of the lady's office, being careful not to trespass or break any littering laws. You may also want to ensure you are not breaking any invasion of privacy laws and/or are protecting yourself against possible defamation suits. Also be sure that in obtaining this evidence you are also not breaking any local, state or federal laws.

Alternatively gather your evidence and call the local newspaper with the largest circulation and ask to speak to one of the senior editors. Remember one very important matter: one must never ever threaten to do something unless a certain condition is met. This may amount to blackmail and/or extortion and is not only frowned upon in civilized society but is also against the law.

I am sure that the matter will no longer be swept under any rugs or carpets.

So to speak.
