What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Oregon

This is a criminal case and the charges involved a felony and a misdemeanor, and an attorney was the victim. The attorney(victim) stated in the police report that they had a witness to the alleged crimes, but there was proof that they lied in the police report about there being a witness. What are the possible consequences for the attorney(victim)?

Can it be proven that this was a deliberate attempt at lying, or could it have been a genuine mistake?

Was the witness produced?

Initially the police officer could not locate the witness for a statement, to verify the victim's claim. And further investigation found that the witness had been fabricated. The witness did not exist.

The case is going into it's final hearing. So the judge and DA have not recieved this new discovery yet. I was just curious if, the defence attorney would try to get the case dismissed and the victim charged for misconduct.
