Divorce Final; Pension Due not distributed

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Missouri
My divorce was finalized March 2008. I'm due an amount of my ex's pension and retirement and to date have received nothing about this. I'm at a loss and feel I'm being taken unfair advantage of. Is there not a timeline for this process to be completed?

The only timeline on this is the one that you make. These things don't just happen and often need to be proactively pushed through.

If you want this to get done in a timely manner, it is incumbent upon you or your attorney to start the ball rolling. Get your QDRO, decree, and whatever else you may need and contact the pension plan administrator.

Is your ex-husband alive now or deceased? If he is dead, get your attorney to look at Missouri law to see if there is any provision that would prevent a divorcee from qualifying to receive this money IF the man was remarried to another wife, which might give the surviving spouse a preferential claim on this money.

???????
They were only divorced 8 months ago.

The divorce decree will dictate what portion of the ex's pension the OP is entitled to.
