Divorce games/ unethical? part 1

What is the name of your state?
What is the name of your state? Virginia
I have been going through divorce/ spousal support issues in court with my attorney.
The judge awarded me spousal support after my husband of 13 years just took off after becoming unsatisfied with his condition in life.
I am permanently disabled and was when we married.
I was awarded emergency support through a Pendente Lite? Order.
My divorce was final in July of 2007 but it wasn't filed until January 2008.
My ex kept getting behind and we had 4 or more show gause hearings, nothing was ever done. The judge either refused to enforce the court order by giving him more chances and refusing to even hear my case or evidence.I live in the house and have a quit claim deed, but both names are on the mortgage.
I was left with my support put on reserve , and attorney fees on reserve, which means my support stopped and now my attorney closed my case and is demanding an additional $2700.
She has received 1460. in legal fees. I never agreed to my support being left on reserve.
I live off of SSI and my lawyer knew this. I told her many, many times that I could not pay her and I could not afford to keep going to court. She kept telling me not to worry about it. I told her I was very worried about it. Now she is threatening to take legal action against me if my account is not paid in full in 5 months.
This just does not seem right to me.
How can you have a hearing and a judge say he doesn't have time to hear it and not enforce his own court order?
Any advice would be appreciated.
