Ethnic violations

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? GA
I HIRED A LAWYER IN JUNE TO GET BACK MY CAR THAT WAS SEIZED FROM MY HUSBAND(NOW SEPERATED). THE CAR WAS SEIZED WHEN THEY PULLED HIM OVER AND FOUND DRUGS IN THE VEHICLE. AT THE TIME I WAS ILL I HAD NO IDEA HE WAS INTO DRUGS. I HAD THE CAR BEFORE I MET HIM. THE LAWYER ASSURED ME SHE WOULD GET THE CAR BACK. I MADE SEVERAL CALLS TO HER OFFICE, I COULD NOT GET A RESPONSE. I HAD NOT TALK TO THIS LAWYER BUT ONE TIME IN THE 4 MONTHS I HIRED HER, BECAUSE SHE WOULDN'T RESPOND TO MY CALLS. I EVEN CALLED HER OFFICE BACK TO MAKE SURE THEY FILE THE PROPER PAPERWORK ON TIME, HER ASSISTANT TOLD ME IT WAS TAKEN CARE OF. A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO SOMEONE TOLD ME MYCAR WAS 4 SALE. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED HER UP (I HAD TO MAKE AN APPT. JUST TO TALK TO HER). TO MY SURPRISE SHE HAD ALREADY KNEW THAT THE CAR WAS AWARDED TO THE COUNTY IN WHICH SEIZED IT. COME TO FIND OUT THE JUDGE AWARDED THE CAR BECAUSE SHE DIDN'T SUBMIT THE PAPERWORK ON TIME NOR DID IT HAVE ALL THE NECCESARY INFORMATION ON IT. WHAT SHOULD BE MY NEXT STEP?

First of all, typing in CAPS is considered rude and yelling, so please edit your post. Second of all, where in the heck did you get the idea that this had anything to do with your ethnicity? It had nothing to do with your race and everything to do with the fact that drugs were found in your vehicle.

I think she meant "ethic", not "ethnic".

mau99, ECAMP did mean "ethic" and not "ethnic." If you look at ECAMP's other post, entitled "response," you will see that this issue was discussed in WAY too much length already.

If ECAMP ever posts back, perhaps she can answer the few remaining questions concerning her problem (questions of which are addressed in the "response" thread) - so she can maybe just possibly and eventually get an answer to her original question.

But I do believe the ethnic/ethic question has been answered sufficiently.
