What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
Mississippi

Someone was sentenced to 10 years for embezzlement, with 9 1/2 years suspended and 6 months to serve; 5 years probation to follow expiration of sentence. A condition of the sentence was to go to a restitution center to pay the funds back to the victim til paid in full, as part of probation. The offender was confined to the prison until sentence was completed, and was discharged due to expiration of sentence April 2007.(Has Discharge Certificate signed by MDOC Director of records)
Offender was sent directly to the restitution center to work at a fast food restaurant to pay the restitution. Served 1 (one) year and 5 (five) months at the center before legal counsel made deal with DA's office to let offender go home on ISP(house arrest) until remainder of restitution was paid @$375.00 a month, which will take at least another 2 years.

Question is: 1) Hasn't offender over served the sentence?
2) Does a county DA or anyone have the legal authority to add to the sentence after the offender has been released from custody of the MDOC for competion of sentence. ISP is a form of incarceration (iimprisonement in one's home) to be used as an alternative.

1) Not if restitution hasn't been paid yet.
2) The rest of the sentence was suspended, right? That suspension can be revoked.
