What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas. On May of 2007,
I obtained an attorney to represent me on a Personal Injury Case (Vehicle
Accident? The attorney settled the case for $50,000 without my knowledge,
she signed my name on the settlement check and the liability release form,
and never gave me a cent. I tried contacting her but she will not answer my
calls, I finally received a letter from her stating that her license to practice
law had been suspended for two years, can anybody give me some advice
as to how I can get my monies?

You sue her for it.

I would start by stating that if you have to go to court, one of your first requests will be that she is permanently disbarred.

Contact the State Bar of Texas, at State Bar of Texas | Home. Follow the instructions for "client grievance". The state bar will help provide you with guidance.

Move quickly, as you will undoubtedly find that the lawyer has done this to other people, and you will be standing in line to collect your money from the lawyer.

Ultimately, you will be required to file a lawsuit. Once you get a judgment, you will be able to file a claim with the state bar recovery fund, which pays a partial part of judgments obtained against lawyers.

You can also search your lawyer's name on the state bar website and get details of the grievances filed against her.

Good luck.
