What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Alabama

So I got divorced. Was served by my X. Agreed to something I shouldn't. Served again my X. My new former president of bar association in Alabama lawyer asks me why I didn't file a petition with the courts the first time around for 50% custody. I told him my lawyer at the time said I couldn't, the "courts don't work that way." So I went for custody and signed an agreement I shouldn't had.

My issue is that my lawyer flat out lied to me. I already had been exercising 50% custody when she served me. I just wanted to remove verbadge that allowed her to "choose" if I could or couldn't see my daughter. Again, she served me to change other verbadge she didnt' like. It was all there, nice an easy to petition the court for modification. But...my lawyer lied to me and then didn't tell me he used to work with her lawyer.

It's all my fault. But I still want to file paper work in the state of alabama expressing my dissatisfaction and hopefully have a higher power look at this and make sure he's punished and/or put on a list so that if he does this again to someone there will already be a record.

Does anyone have any ideas or a link or something for the state of alabama?

Thanks!
