Improper Warrant in Debt Service

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Virginia
How can we file a complaint or take other action against a law firm that sent us an improper "Warrant in Debt"?
The debt was claimed by a corporation that was terminated by the VA SCC in 2005, the warrant was against an individual member of our LLC, not the company and the warrant was not served on our registered representative, it was sent via regular mail not certified.
