Internet Law Breaking

What is the name of your state? NY

Basically a law office in Mass. stole an article I wrote, along with the articles of several other people, and posted them on a website. I have informed the other copyright holders of the infringement. In addition, it appears as though several other similar websites with stolen content are also owned by the law office.

To make things even worse for the lawyer, I did a search and found out they were already disbarred and reinstated once many years ago, so their history is against them.

I am simply trying to figure out how I can go about reporting the lawyer who runs the office for misconduct, if it is at all possible. I've yet to contact them, or file a DMCA, but even if they removed the content the fact remains they broke the copyright law not once or twice, but numerous times, and it would appear as though they are trying to hide behind the law firm for legal protection.

Also, let's say I did report the lawyer and included e-mails from the several of the other copyright owners attesting to the fact their stuff was also stolen, and let's say the bar was going to do a hearing. Would I be required to attend, how does all that work?

How did this law firm obtain these articles?

If, for instance, you work, or at one time worked, for this law firm, it is highly possible that anything you wrote during your time there became their property (ditto for the others whose work is appearing on websites).

Sorry, I didn't specify very well. The articles were on my blog, and the articles written by other people posted their stuff on their blogs and sites as well (a couple of them are from professional sites that would never license their articles out to anyone). The law firm went on and stole the things. I didn't even know who the law firm was until I noticed they owned the website where all of this stuff was illegally posted.

And they are even hotlinking to an image on my server without permission, which is also copyright infringement in itself.
