Judge is no-showI live in South Carolina and received a $476.00 fine from DNR for leaving a Burger King cup on the ground ( which I went back and picked up). My court date was 4/25 and when I got there, neither the Judge nor the ticketing officer showed up for work that day. Now the judge wants me to come back in May. Do I have to show? What are my rights when my accuser fails to be present on the scheduled court date? or the Judge for that matter. Thanks |

| It's called a continuance, they are allowed to ask for a continuance or to reschedule the court date. |
