What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Tennessee

How can I find out if a lawyer practicing in Benton, Louisiana was disbarred.
I was told it happened after 1978. He is now deceased.

Why does it matter? The Supreme Court of Louisiana would have that information.

I did some research and accordingly, if he is deceased he is no longer a member of the TN bar. Or any bar for that matter.
