Lawyer harassing me

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? I had to obtain an attorney for myself and my son. I explained at the time I hired this lawyer that i am in bankruptcy and can only afford to make payments towards his fee (which I feel I was overcharged). He agreed to the payments. My x is responsible for half of the legal fees and I need a detailed account of the time he spent on our cases. He told me that as soon as Im done paying him we can discuss this. He is constantly calling regarding the money I owe him. I feel he way over charged me when he walk into court with a briefcase and newspaper, saw the DA for 2 minutes said I would receive a ACD. Then I said what about my son he said oh I forgot went back into the DA for 2 minutes and said oh he is also receiving an ACD. I feel I am entitled to a itemized breakdown of his charges now. I know if I pay him I will never see it because he can't justify his charges. Please someone advise what my rights are or if I have any.

Although you deemed it necessary to ignore the most important part of your post, based on your use of the term "ACD", I'm going to guess you're in NY. In which case, you have two (free) options:
http://www.courts.state.ny.us/admin/feedispute/index.shtml
and if that doesn't work:
http://www.courts.state.ny.us/ip/attorneygrievance/complaints.shtml

Good luck.
