What is the name of your state? New York Iwas divorced in 1998 and the lawyer was awarded counsel fees which the lawyer fought for. The lawyer has never went after the ex husband for the judgement but every year I am sent letters of being sued for the fees. What are the statue limtations? This will be going on eight years. They send me papers for arbitration I don't dispute the fees they were won in court under number 9 judgement of divorce.
