If a dispute existed between two parties which was resolved absent litigation by each parties attorney. Then by happenstance one individual, party 2 we'll say, of the aforementioned begins dating someone who unknown at the time to the party 2 was friends with the lawyer who represented the opposing party 1, in the matter long gone by. Party 2 finds out and is devastated to learn the details of this matter was shared with the person they were dating. Is it legal for that lawyer of party 1 to have disclosed all the details of the matter as it pertained to party 2 to the friend in casual conversation? I'm very confused on how this would play out.
