Is my attorney breaking the law? what do i do?

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA

Hi i am a california resident protected by prop 215. i'm about to go to court in a couple of weeks to try to modify the conditions of my probation to allow me the use of medical marijuana for my back pain. i have a prescription that i dont use because i dont like popping pills because of the side effects i get. my original crime had nothing to do with drugs. My lawyer has told me he is against the idea basically and is going to set me up for failure. what do i do? my mom paid him a lot of money and this is bull****.

also may i add, his partner said i have a good chance at getting it approved(he deals with the medical marijuana cases, and was taken off). i also have talked to many of my fellow probationers and have researched other similar cases that have gotten it okay'd with the judge. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Im curious, is this "medical marijuana" use done in a controlled medical setting with doctors or are you just going home and lighting up? Maybe you can get it okay'd...Im with your lawyer, I dont agree with it either. But if he's not following your wishes, and you're paying him, then maybe you're not going to have a choice but to get a new lawyer. Unless, he's done so much for you already, and he's worth you trying other pain medications to deal with your problem
