Outrageous Lawyer Fee and conduct for Red Light Ticket

What is the name of your state? MI
Fees
I got a red light ticket. I went to a lawyer. He charged me $200 retainer. I paid it. He later charged me $100, I paid. He adjourned the case. Then I went to court with a lawyer he knows that he hired or something. The prosecutor asked for adjournment, judge granted it. I recieved a $500 bill two days ago. The case is not even over, and Im so far charged $800. I am being charged $40 for 2 minute phone calls to me to tell me stuff that they already mailed me, and the court mailed me too, like days to come, or whats happening (adjournments). And $40 for every letter they send me, that the court sends me too. And $300 for coming to court, which only was an hour long, and the lawyer sent did not know anything about my case, and did not accept a deal from the other side when I asked him to. When I fist went to him he said it would take about 2 hours, and he told me he charged $190 an hour. He didnt tell me he rounds everything out to 1/3rd of an hour even if its 2 minutes. He didnt give me any written payment rules. He never talked to me again since the first time I went to him, only his secretary for like 2 minutes. I feel like Im being swindled for every penny I have.
What should I do?

Bad Conduct
I tried to fire my lawyer the day of court because he didnt show up, so I called his office to fire him, and he said hell send another lawyer right away. I waited so long thats why they judge probably let the other side(prosecutor) adjourn that day. I told the prosecutor to deal with me, and I said "I now fire my lawyer" and she said she cannot. When the lawyer finally came, the prosecutor told me she cant talk to me to break a deal because she can only talk to my lawyer, who was so bad its amazing he has a license.

Thank you all, your knowledge is greatly appeciated.
