Phone RecordingWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Colorado Is it legal / ethical, to record a phone conversation without the knowledge of the person being recorded? Can this informaiton then be used to influence the Magistrate in a DHS case or the judge in a child visitation case? |

Here's a link with an answer to your recording question: Summary of Consent Requirements for Taping Telephone Conversations The answer Flying Ron gave you in your first thread was correct. CO is a one-party state. The recording was not unlawfully made. Whether or not it will be properly "used against" you is up to the magistrate/judge. Certainly the person who recorded you has the right to attempt to use it.
