This is a very lenghty case but the violation I believe is a HIPPA violation. My current husband and I are involved in a custody case reguarding his 11 year old daughter. I had a past drug charge and the ex-wife found out about it. She has went on a witch hunt with her attorney. He gave her copies of my medical records and prescription records and she has used them to try and have criminal charges against me filed. I should be cleared from wrong doing, you see she should have never been privy to that information. I released them to the court for evidence only. Is he in violation as well as her? Good thing is I have proof and the is a protection order for me saying they were not to disiminate this information. I have two attroneys, a family atty. and a criminal atty. and neither know much about HIPPA. I also want to file a bar compliant about her attorney. I know I need help but dont know where to turn and like I said there is alot I need to say, but dont want to waste your time if I dont have a case.
