What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

I was wondering how long a company has to remit funds from a successful mediation? Our case was settled on Nov. 16, 2011 and to this day we have not been told how much the case settled for, how much we are getting as a member of the class, or even an expected date of when payment is going to be made. The law firm representing us had all 42 of the clients sign an agreement stating that they (the Attorney's) would not settle the case for any less than $50,000 per client. The case was handled on a 40% contingency fee basis.

None of the clients in this case have been paid at all and we are all starting to become very concerned about the validity of a lot of the "claims" from our Attorney regarding the hold up of the funds. Is there something we, as clients, can do or someone we can talk to in order to find out what is going on and what our options are at this point? According to the court's website, there has been liens filed against this settlement that we were never informed of, and also the court clerk filed a Notice Of Unpaid Filing Fees as well. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
