Is this true?

What is the name of your state?OH

Can an attorney act as a witness to a verbal contract even if said contract, if proven binding, would benefit that attorney's client?

A: Yes; there may not be a whole lot of weight or credibility given to the lawyer's statement, but it will be admissible.
