When To Sue For Malpractice

What is the name of your state? TX My former attorney redefined bad faith, so the question as to whether or not has been made, as well, a grievance to be filed to. But, I'm still about a month away from a trail which he would have represented me in. Of course I don't believe I could pull anything off that quickly, but as I am painfully learning, the justice system isn't in a hurry.

Do I wait for the outcome of the trial in case there is any liability? Or does that not matter?

Thanks

my bad

sorry, I had a large dose of caveman before inking my questions. I am awaiting trial for, of course something I didn't do, and I had an attorney contracted to represent me that was very dishonest and something should be done about it, which is what I meant by I've already made my mind up to hire a malpractice attorney and bring a suit against him, and to file a grievance with the TX bar too, but I'm curios about if I should wait until after my trial considering his bad faith, at least in my opinion, could have a negative effect on the outcome. Is that considered damages and what I could reasonably include in my suit?

You still haven't given any information that would help someone tell you whether this lawyer has done anything that violates the rules of professional responsibility or rises to the level of professional malpractice.

What did he do that you are so upset about?

When to, not to

I may have posted this in the wrong forum. My decision to file the suit is already made, my question is when and as it relates to the criminal trials he was contracted to represent me for. In my opinion, his actions, and even inactions will have an effect on those trials. If I file before due process has occured, I would think I wouldn't be fully aware of any damages. On the other hand, I would think bringing attention to behavior that, in my opinion, has effected that due process might could be used in my criminal matter and for me. Thanks for the response!
