What is the name of your state? My parents have been fighting a legal malpractice lawsuit in NY for the past 14 years. We won the Jury trial and are currently waiting for the disciplinary committee's decision which will hopefully mean we will get money's owed. I was a witness in the trial and have a small amount owed to me but am wondering since both parents are sick and old what happens if they pass away before anything is settled? Can I take over this case and how? I want to make sure this @#$ gets what he deserves for the suffering my parents have had.
Thanks for any advice.
