Will lawyer return money without fight?

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida

We contacted a lawyer about adopting. They replied they had an immediate placement, BM could give birth anyday. Because BM could give birth at any moment, paperwork was rushed. I talked with lawyer before receiving overnight package in mail that contained paperwork. The lawyer talked about the fees associated with the adoption and the adoption process. The lawyer never mentioned there was a contract or any details of their contract. Because BM was due anyday an initial deposit was immediately due. The lawyer did explain her fees that would be lost out of the deposit if adoption did not take place. I wired $7,000 deposit to lawyer based on an email she sent with fees and due date for deposit.

We received paperwork with a ludicrous contract in which we do not agree. It is now over two weeks later, BM has not given birth. The law office just realized they do not have a signed contract from us and want us to send it. We advised we had some issues with the contract. We have a phone appointment with lawyer for Monday. My question is if she does not rewrite contract to our satisfaction, does she legally have to return all our money?
If she does not return money what action can we take? We are in another state from the attorney.

Thank you for any help you can provide!
