Bought Used Car then saw ad for my car at lower cost - same dealershipWhat is the name of your state? California I purchased a vehicle at a used car dealership. They sold me a Ford Winstar with 116K miles on it. A couple of days later on their website I saw that the sale price for the car that I bought was over $1000 less than what they sold to me. I verified that it was the same car with sales person. He confirmed it. I put down $2000 (1500 on credit card) $500 post dated check. The sales guy said because they advertised for less he would waive my $500 check. He was going to mail me my check but just in case I made a stop payment on the check. Now a few weeks later I am getting calls from the owner wondering where his $500 is. What should I do? |

I told him what the salesman has said and done. I also faxed him a detail account of what happened. He then left me a voicemail again asking for the $500 but no acknowledgement of the fax or our previous conversation. |

| Then it appears to me you owe the $500 or could fight it in small claims court. But remember, you have nothing in writing evidencing your claims. |

**A: this is the US, a country of opportunties. It is your own fault for not checking the blue book value and bargaining down to a price that was acceptable to you. You were not forced to buy the vehicle at the price you paid. |
