    Car is a LEMON

What is the name of your state? CO

SUnday (two days ago) I bought a used Saab from an individual. He made all kinds of assurances about the condition and how good is ran. He also told me that he had replaced the clutch and master cylinder last month and that it had a one year warranty.

Long sotry short the car did not make it home before the clutch started sticking and by yesterday morning, I was stuck in the parking lot at work because the clutch will not engage and I cannot get it in or out of gear. I called him yesterday morning (less than 24 hours after I bought the car) and promised he would get the shop that did the work to fix it and if they didn't stand behind their warranty, he would pay for it. The shop came and got the car and towed it to their shop. They called him and told him it was not the master cyliner this time, so they won't uphold their warranty. So, he called me and said that he now refuses to pay for the repairs he promised to cover. The shop is supposed to call with an estimate.

I am not paying a shop that has already tried and failed to repair the clutch TWICE and charged over $800 (I have the receipts) to try a third time. They obviously are really bad mechanics.

Is there any way I can make him give me back my $5000? He did not write down any warranty, but he did make verbal promises about the condition of the car and that he would fix it if the shop did not cover the warranty.

Is it legal for me to run an AD in the local paper saying that Federal Express Manager, Bad Bryant, is a crooka nd a liar who steals from poor single Moms?

Hold old is the vehicle and how many miles does it have on it?

As for your ad in the paper...that's a VERY bad idea.

He was talking about the one yr. Master cylinder it appears .

The clutch was replaced about a year ago .

Have another shop DX it , preferably an authorized repair facility for your make .

Make sure it's not just the linkage or such .

Looks like the bill's on you .
