help!

What is the name of your state? califonia

hi
i had a lawsuit with toyota,i got a lawyer on a continues base,and i signed a retainer.
we settled and before setteling my lawyer informed me that his fees are 8500$.
we settled and my share was known to be the sum minus 8500$!
3 days later my lawyer called me and said that he forgot to add the retainer fee to the sum!!!!!
if i would have known about that i would have not settled.
what are my rights?
what can i do?

Ask about the full extent of legal fees and what you're liable for in terms of payment before signing a contract next time.
