| | | I got screwed by an out of state car dealer, what do I do? What is the name of your state (SD)
I was looking for a rare model AMG mercedes car for a while and found one in PA, Im in SD 1000mi away, Talked to this dealer over the phone only and with emails, dealer told me car was in great shape i was still worried so I talked to a mechanic close by the dealer location and they checked the car out for me, found some problems like : engine mount broken, coolant leak from wore hose. Well I thought I could fix these issues so went ahead with the deal anyway . When I received the car found that there was more mechanical work that was needed that was not mentioned of around $1000 , also there is existing frame damage that is obvious that was not mentioned by the dealer where on bumps one wheel actually touch the fender because the wheel sticks out further out, $1500 to fix, AC also is not functional, this is beside all the little things like; some switches and controls not working, previous body work on the rear door which is visible but was not mentioned, tears in seats, cd changer missing.
I paid this dealer $8000 by money order and $300 personal check for tracing purposes.
Immediately after car delivery I took the car to mechanic and found out all these problems, tried contacting the dealer all day, no response, so I canceled the $300 check but could not cancel the money order.
Now a week later no title, only bill of sale. I offered dealer to settle this by giving me $1000 refund on top of $300, dealer refused and will not send title because Im $300 short and will not take car back.
Obviously this is a big time misrepresentation by this dealer.
What do I do guys?
Any help will be greatly appreciated

Any help will be greatly appreciated | Obviously this is a big time bad decision on your part. You are stuck my friend. As long as the car passes inspection so that you can register the car in your state, you've bought a new car. Also, unless you pay the additional $300 (and fees for the bad check ~ I'm sure) you won't get the title.
You should have made the trip to PA if you wanted the car that badly.

Any help will be greatly appreciated | Your mechanic who checked out the car is the one to talk to...
