Lemom Law Used VehicleToni K. In New Mexico: I purchased a used vehicle with an "as is Warranty" In March, imediately had problems, engine blew by the end of June. Is there any thing I can do. Dealer will only sell us a new engine at his costs. Is he responsible for any of it. |

| I do not know about New Mexico law, but here in San Diego, CA there is virtually no laws against the sale of used vehicles. I doubt there is anywhere. Since it was as is, I'm sure that the dealor is not liable. |

| Federal lemon laws apply to new vehicles only. The dealers offer to sell you a new engine at cost sounds like a generous offer. |
