Lemon car NJ

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NJ

Hello,
I have tried to get my car (Accord'07) repaired 3 times for the same problem (rattling noises) but without any success. I bought the car in New Jersey. Can anyone suggest or share experience regarding which arbiteration process is the most helpful one? There are number of arbiteration processes:- NJ State aribiteration process, BBB process, NADA, a law suit in a court.

Appreciate any help / suggestions in this regard.

Thanks,
Amit.

Rattles may not qualify as a defect.

"Although many lemon law complaints have been brought concerning rattles and other types of noises, in almost all these cases, despite the sincerely held beliefs of the owners (as is the situation here), they did not rise to a level requiring or warranting relief. See, e.g., Faraq v. Pontiac-GMC Division, OAL Dkt. CMA 7686-98 (Oct. 1, 1998); Buchinski v. Ford Motor Company, 96 N.J.A.R. 2d (CMA) 177 (May 17, 1996); Rhodes v. Mercedes Benz of North America, 95 N.J.A.R. 2d (CMA) 140 (April 25, 1995); Vicinanza v. Mitsubishi Motors, 95 N.J.A.R. 2d (CMA) 61 (Sept. 16, 1994)"

Thanks for the Info

Thanks a lot for the information. I did some research and looks like the rattle noises do not qualify for lemon. Can't believe I spent 22K to drive a car with this noise all the time!! and that too in Honda Accord!! A lawyer advised me to file for Breach of Warranty.

Thanks again,

Amit.
