Lemon Law


What is the name of your state? TEXAS
I PAID CASH FOR A 2000 FORD CONTOUR 1 WEEK AGO FROM A CAR LOT AND THE TRANSMISSION IS GOING OUT. WHAT CAN I DO....

Assuming you bought the car "AS-IS", pay to have it fixed. Lemon laws do not apply to used vehicles. You should have had the vehicle inspected by an independant mechanic prior to purchasing the car.

In the future you can:

Buy a car with a warranty that is honored by a dealer or group of dealers you can trust.

Buy a Japanesse car. (or at least a car that has not depreciated by 70% in 6 years)
