Problem for a UK customer

What is the name of your state? UK

Hi,
Recently I made a Purchase from Cali For a Clutch Kit for my Supra. The reason I ordered from Cali was it cost me 50% less than it would in the UK.
I payed for the Item with Paypal and paid for USPS 4 day delivery. My item was sent, and promptly arrived in the UK 2 days later.
While it was being flown to N.Ireland by the Parcels Carrier, there was a large chemical leakage on the plane, and all the Cargo had to be destroyed.
I contacted the Supplier, who told me i would have to wait until his claim with USPS is settled before he will send a replacement Part.

It was my understanding that I should not have to wait, as it was not my fault the Package was Destroyed. am i not entitled to the Goods or replacment goods immediately as i have already paid for them?

Any help would greatly be Appreciated

And since the supplier is sending you the goods (albeit not on your terms) what would you rather be doing, filing in a California court for which your presence would be required and NOT refundable, or wait a few more days for the parts.

The supplier is doing what is required under California law. Anything more you are not entitled to. Unless you'd like to cancel your order for a full refund then pay the VAT AND twice the price for the part.
