used carWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? PA I purchased a car from an individual yesterday. Its a 98 Grand Am. I test drove it and everything seemed fine. About a half hour after getting the car home I was on my way to my friends when the check engine light came on. Then when I turned the wheel it made a loud knock and today as I was driving, I noticed that at times when I pushed the gas the car would not accelerate. I plan on getting it check by a mechanic as soon as possible but I have heard it has to be within 3 days. Is there any type of law to help me ?What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? |

| Enjoy your car. The time to have the car checked out by a mechanic is prior to, not after purchasing it. Google "caveat emptor".
