Used Car Lemon Law?What is the name of your state?Maryland Bought a 2002 Jeep Cherokee which only had a three month-3,000 mile warranty on it( i think thats ridiculous but i realize probably the norm) Two weeks after the warranty is up the transmission starts to have problems and the cost to repair is $500+ shouldnt the car dealer be obligated to repair at his cost or at least go half with the consumer or at the least, try to work with the consumer under the circumstances? Too bad inspections dont cover such things. Is there a lemon law that covers such actions when a consumer buys an almost new, expensive vehicle and the dealer hides behind the ' the three month warranty is up' guise? I have to also state that this dealership has been shoddy since we bought it. Trying to get little things from them that shouldve been taken care of before we brought it home, makes me wonder....any suggestions at all?? or am i wishful thinking? |
