| Do I have a case??
I recently lost my job for reasons other than this but about a week and a half later I get phone call from my old boss that she wants to talk to me. So I went in and talked to her not knowing why she wanted to speak to me. But she accused me of taking money from the store. Of course I told her that I didn't. She then made out a report at the police station accusing me of stealing $834. So I had to go out and talk to a detective and then go to the State Police Post and take a lie detector test which I passed with flying colors. But she just picked me and I was the only one who was accused, not one other person. I did find out that they still have not found the money and she has not talked to anyone else in the store asking them if they took it or filed any more reports at the police station. Can I sue them for slander, or defamation or something. I cannot believe how they have done me after working there for 16 years. |
