don't know what to do

What is the name of your state? Kansas

I am beside myself with worry. My story goes back 2 years when a new student joined my grandsons class. My daughter and grandson live with me. anyway, my dughter tried to make friends with the new students mother. with-in a few days however, this mother was telling people that my daughter was going around telling people not to let their child go to his birthday party. Which is not true. But the problem has really escalated. Over the last two years there have been several reports of her child stealing from my grandson, hiding his gym shoes, tearing up my grnadsons homework, this other parent trying o get my grandson expelled from school and even threats of harm and/or death to my grandson. Grandson is 8 years old. The other boy in question is 9. Well, last night this other mother found out that my daughter will be teaching Vacation Bible School this summer and then suddenly we had a visit from the police last night. The report was that my daughter had threatened to kill this other boy and his younger brother this coming Saturday.

This is of course totally ridiculous! But now my daughter is not allowed to pick her son up from school, teach VBS, or even go to town without a chaperone. And that chaperone is not supposed to be me! The police also told my daughter that if one more report comes in over this that she will be arrested and her son taken into custody and given up for adoption. This what this other mother has wanted ever since she moved here.

I don't know what to do. We live in the rural part of town and it is a very small town. Everyone we call for help just tells us to stay away from them. That is not a problem except for school functions, local town events, and church. Are we suppose to just lay down and die for this person? Why are we being punished for something we didn't do? I found out that my former nephew (by marriage) ran this woman off the road and we are being blamed for his actions. We have not had contact with nephew since my ex-husband passed away 9 years ago. We didn't even know this woman existed! Now we find out that even if we call 911 one of us will be arrested! That's not right. and she goes around saying "the only good Montgomery is a dead Montgomery" and we can't go anything about it.

I don't know what to do. I am afraid for our saftey. Can anyone out there help? I hope I have been clear in describing what is going on.

Wow! Sounds like you need an attorney quick to get involved and maybe write some letters to these people. Legal action is also an option that you may have. If people are falsely using a government agency to harass you, you may have a serious case against them.
