What is the name of your state? CA
I received the following e-mail from ex-gf in TX:

" Joseph
I received my part 2 of my personal belongings yesterday; however, there were 2 things missing: a personal check from you (financial support to me from you, considering I wasted 3 months of my life with you and had made arrangements to re-locate - including giving up my job search, turning down interviews to stay with you in Austin, giving my apartment complex 60 days notice, etc.) and also the skillet which I bought. Don't worry about the skillet - I don't cook anyway, and I already have a very similar one at my apartment. However, you DO INDEED owe me compensation benefits since you dumped me unexpectedly and suddenly via text messaging with absolutely no explanation, except for your own selfish reasons. I have had a dear friend of mine prepare the letters to the State of California Medical Board, to Dr. Castillo, and to Hope. These letters include factual and legal documentation, not to mention many, many details. However, I have been a GOOD person and not sent them because I felt deep down that you would be a decent person and do the right thing. I do NOT want to marry you any longer, nor do you want to marry me. I can only thank GOD in Heaven that I did not move out to CA nor move my furniture and personal belongings out there. However, considering that I gave, gave, and gave to you for 3 months (with very little in return, except for a cheap, fake ring, 1 night at the Hilton, a little bit of food here and there), I certainly deserve financial support for a while. We agreed that I would give up on my job search, I would give my 60 day notice at my apartment complex, we were not using any form of birth control, I would turn in my car before I came to CA, etc. However, at the last minute, you decide that you are not ready for a child yet, and thus, I should murder our child. You sent me a $1000 check, knowing that $650 went to the abortion process. The remaining $350 went to a certainly WELL-DESERVED day at the salon/spa for a massage, nails, body wrap, and facial. Then, you decide to dump me via text messaging with NO EXPLANATION whatsoever. What is that about?? Oh no, Joseph you are not going to get away with this. You can either be a decent person or I will see to it that your life is not good. You should not be allowed to go on happily with your life, after treating me in such a poor manner. I have done some financial calcuations and after considering the following, I do DESERVE (not need) some financial compensation from you: time, gas, car washes, mileage, wear-and-tear, insurance deductible, PowerPoint presentations, 14-page report from the retreat, the inability to go on certain interviews due to your request for me to stay in Austin, lost time with my family & friends, the physical and emotional suffering from the abortion process, a week and plane ticket wasted in April to Fresno, weekends wasted visiting your colleagues or desired destinations (Carthage, NASA, etc), emotional abuse, CD, groceries, housecleaning, cooking, organizing, doing your laundry, being your sex slave, putting up with your gas, snoring and other rude behaviors, etc. Hmmm....am I forgetting anything? There are probably many more things which I have given to you in some form or fashion. Thus, I (AND MY PARENTS) believe that you should (at the VERY LEAST), provide financial support for the time being. I am seeking $3000 in compensation benefits from you. Considering your salary, this amount should be "peanuts" to you. Yes, my parents are certainly happy that I have decided not to marry you nor move to CA, and they also agree that you have some serious psychological issues (such as your pornography addiction, ideas about daily sex, a woman's name not going on property and other assets, etc) for which you need to seek professional help. They also believe that your current employer, the state of CA medical board, and Hope deserve to know the entire truth. No, we don't need doctors (nor Nigerian men) like you in Texas - Fresno County, California and some desperate, pathetic Hispanic or white trash woman can have you. However, you need to be fair and decent. If so, I promise to leave your life forever and not cause any upsets.

I will expect to receive a personal check from you within the next week. However, a much easier, cost efficient, and faster method would be to complete a transfer from your Wells Fargo account to mine. Any Wells Fargo branch should be able to do this very easily."

MY CONCERN/QUESTION: what can I do to protect my self? is this actionable extortion or blackmail in either TX or CA?

Thanks

Joseph

My response:

You actually believe that any of us want to read through that blathering? I tried the first two paragraphs, got bored, and wrote this.

Sounds like two children with hormone problems.
