Not allowed to defend myself against false accusations at work

What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? New Mexico
A person that I work with made false accusations about me and my girlfriend. We have lost hours because of it and are being treated diffrently. I have not been able to defend myself. We are no longer invited to staff functions because of it. The person that did this has done it before and people have quit. He needs stopped. What can I do? I am so frustrated.

Possibly nothing. It depends on exactly what was said and to whom.

Q: A person that I work with made false accusations about me and my girlfriend.
A: What were the accusations?

Q: We have lost hours because of it and are being treated diffrently.
A: How (on both items)?

Q: I have not been able to defend myself.
A: Explain that.

Q: We are no longer invited to staff functions because of it.
A: Some people would consider that a blessing; why do you want to hang around with staff if they talk bad about you?

Q: The person that did this has done it before and people have quit.
A: Explain this.

Q: He needs stopped.
A: Explain this.

Q: What can I do?
A: About what?

Q: I am so frustrated.
A: Me too.
