| Whether there is anything that can be done about your niece, who posted and then deleted untrue things on Facebook about your daughter and son-in-law, depends on EXACTLY what is was that your niece posted and then deleted about about your daughter and son-in-law, and can depend on a whole host of other facts not disclosed here. Not all untrue postings are defamatory, and not all untrue and defamatory postings can lead to a successful defamation action, and not all untrue and defamatory postings that can lead to a successful defamation action are worth pursuing. Your daughter can show the Facebook postings to an attorney in her area, and go over all of the facts surrounding the postings with this attorney, to get an idea if she has any legal action she can, or should, take against her cousin. |
