Question

Unfair assestment

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

Can I sue the city and media station for making me look like I was involved in a crime I did not do? The facts are, I was detained, questioned, and then arrested for accesory but was released twenty four hours later on the grounds of insufficient evidence. When I got home my mother asked me what was going on and that our relatives have been calling nonstop due to the media coverage. She turned the television on and sure enough my picture was on the t.v. and the anchor women said I had got out of a truck and removed a wheelchair from under the vehical and drove away. I knew nothing of this "hit and run" but was arrested and accused. To make matters worse they kept on playing this "breaking news" even after I was released from jail. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

The bolded would generally preclude you from filing a lawsuit - they were reporting facts (you were detained, questioned and arrested).
