Victim of slander/libel and false police report

What is the name of your state? New Mexico
12/12/07 I was verballly attacked in a public place by my fiances ex. She accused me of being inside her home. I've had to deal with her lies for some time, so I felt I did the right thing by calling the police right then and there, of course she left before the police got there. I have since filed a Private Criminal Complaint in Metro Court, citing Disorderly Conduct. Upon requesting the police report, I discovered she had went home and made a police report of her own. She lied and said I was stalking her, she didn't mention that we had just had an altercation and also left out any facts of who I was. Like she didn't know anything about me. I have also discovered that I am not the only victim of her false police reports. What can I do? Can I file another police report against her? Do I go to the DA? I've already filed and amended complaint, I don't know if I should amend it again with a new set of charges. Please help. Also when I filed my amended complaint, I did not receive a new court date. I can tell this is going to be very stressful.
any advice would be much appreciated.

Filing a false police report is not defamation (slander or libel).

What you can do is go to court and fight the charges; I'd give the same advice to her.
